ART uses guided eye movements to help the brain reprocess difficult memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. The memory remains, but the emotional charge is reduced or eliminated, allowing lasting relief.

This process reduces anxiety over time, disrupts the avoidance cycle, and builds tolerance for distress.
